- 3rd – Boxing legend Muhammed Ali dies at the age of 74
- 11th – Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her official birthday
- 12th – A 29-year-old American security guard, killed 49 people and wounded 53 others inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. He was shot and killed by Orlando police after a three-hour standoff.
- 16th – The Labour MP Jo Cox died at the age of 41 after being shot and stabbed multiple times following a constituency meeting. Armed officers responded to the attack near a library in Birstall, West Yorkshire. A 52-year-old local man Tommy Mair was arrested.
